FAQS

Plan to arrive at the Convention Center 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the session or course you are attending each day due to the need for wellness station check-in, lines that will result, and the time it will take to walk through the large convention center. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Why are you limiting in-person attendance to 600 people?
The Aesthetic Society’s top priority is the health and safety of attendees, vendors, and staff and has established wellness protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are also required to follow safety protocols set forth by Miami Beach, Florida and the Miami Beach Convention Center. As the situation with the pandemic evolves, the Society will evaluate and adjust the in-person limitation with safety as its top priority. Updates on these restrictions will be provided closer to the actual meeting dates.

What if I decide to attend in person but I’ve already registered for virtual attendance or vice versa?
Registrants may change from in person to virtual attendance, or from virtual to in person, until Monday, April 12, 2021. Simply email The Aesthetic Society at theaestheticsociety@surgery.org to request the change.

How can I enroll my staff in the Aesthetic Care Team Affiliate Program?
This new program is only available to staff working in the offices of The Aesthetic Society Active and International Active members. Visit www.surgery.org/aestheticcareteam for Program details and to enroll your team prior to registering them as either an “Aesthetic Care Team Affiliate Program Enrollee-RN/PA/NP” or “Aesthetic Care Team Affiliate Program Enrollee-Other Staff” for the meeting. They must be enrolled by their employing surgeon before registering for the meeting. The staff of non-members will need to register as “Other Team Member/Nursing Staff”.

I requested that my The Aesthetic Meeting 2020 registration fee be maintained as a credit to be applied for The Aesthetic Meeting 2021 rather than getting a refund. How do I make sure this is done?
You have 2 options:

  1. Fax your completed registration form to 562.799.1098, including the payment information in case there is a balance. On the payment section, also indicate that you have a credit from the 2020 meeting cancellation and it should be applied for 2021.
  2. Register for the meeting online, but do not complete the payment portion. Call the office at 562.799.2356 and ask to speak to someone on the Member Services Team who can help you complete your meeting registration payment and apply your 2020 credit.

Optional Courses used to have an additional fee, is that still the case?

  1. Any courses with an “S” in the title (S1 - S12) are considered “Optional Education with Additional Fees”. These do have a fee above the meeting registration fee that you will need to pay to attend, and they are scheduled for Thursday, April 29 and Friday, April 30. Please note that some are restricted to surgeons only and some to nurses, physicians assistants, and office personnel. All information can be found here.
  2. “All Inclusive Courses” do not have an additional fee to attend. These are the numbered courses from 100-600, and are scheduled for Saturday, May 1 - Monday, May 3. You will not need to register for these courses in advance and can join as space permits in the room. Room locations will be provided in our meeting app. All information can be found by clicking on the “PROGRAM” tab, then “ALL INCLUSIVE COURSES” and choosing the day. Note, exhibitor representatives who wish to attend All Inclusive Courses will need to wait until 5 minutes before a course starts and it is confirmed that there is space.
  3. If you are attending the meeting virtually, these courses will be live-streamed for you to view: S2, S4, S7, S8, S9A, and S9B (additional fee for each course). “All Inclusive Courses” will not be live-streamed for virtual viewing.

How do I claim my CME Credits?
Attendees are required to log into www.surgery.org/eval to claim your credits. It is the attendee’s responsibility to complete an electronic form to claim credit for each educational activity in order to have the credit posted to his/her account.  The AMA requires that you certify the number of CME credits commensurate with your participation.

For Aesthetic Society Members: CME credits will be uploaded to your members portal 4-6 weeks after the meeting, if you complete your evaluation form(s) and claim your credits. You will receive an email notification when your credits are uploaded to your record.

For Non Members: After you complete your evaluation you will be able to print a letter verifying your claimed credits for your records.

Press/Media Attendance:
Press and Media can request to register for virtual attendance only. There is no option for Press/Media to attend The Aesthetic Meeting 2021 in-person.
