Desired outcomes:

• Discuss the methods and protocols for surveying a variety outpatient healthcare facility (those that participate in Medicare approved program and those who do not), including pre-survey processes, onsite conferences, standards evaluation, document review, documentation, and post survey processes as well as philosophical foundations to apply to unpredictable circumstances
• Formulate how to successfully perform survey of facilities according to AAAASF standards and consistent with regulatory requirements
• Establish a foundation to build upon through follow up learning modules that must be completed to become a surveyor
