AFFILIATED EVENTS
If you are interested in hosting a function during the meeting, please note all functions must be approved by The Aesthetic Society. We do not allow functions involving the attendees to be held during official scheduled events. ATTENDANCE AGREEMENT– Online and In Person

  • No Friends and Family. I will not allow any individual to participate in my place.
  • No Photographs. I will not photograph, record, or take any screen captures of the presentations.
  • PHI Confidentiality. I will hold in strictest confidence any protected health information revealed.
  • Permission to be Photographed. I understand The Aesthetic Society will record this event for its own purposes, including republication in print and on its digital platforms. I hereby give permission for The Aesthetic Society and its assigns to use my name, photograph and public-facing biography, without compensation to me, in conjunction with any such uses.
  • COVID-19 Policy. I agree to adhere to all infectious disease protocols in place during the event, including those imposed by The Aesthetic Society, the venue, the county health department, and any state directives, and if I so fail, I hereby consent to be ejected from the venue with no refund.
  • Assumption of Risk. I accept and assume all risks of my in-person participation, including the risk of injury or contracting an infectious disease, including but not limited to COVID-19 exposure.
  • Release of All Claims. I hereby release, indemnify against all costs, expenses and attorney fees, and hold harmless the event venue and The Aesthetic Society, as well as their respective affiliates, directors, officers, agents, employees, contractors or volunteers, from any claims related in any fashion to the event.
  • Meetings Code of Conduct. I will abide by this Code.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery designates this live activity for a maximum of 34 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The all-inclusive education is designated for 22.5 credits, of which 9 are Patient Safety CME. An additional 11.5 credits are designated for optional education. Earn up to 34 CME credits by participating in a CME designated activity in every time slot.

Virtual Attendance
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (The Aesthetic Society) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery designates this internet live course for a maximum of 31 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The all-inclusive education is designated for 19.5 credits, of which 6 are Patient Safety CME. An additional 11.5 credits are designated for optional education. Earn up to 31 CME credits by participating in a CME designated activity in every time slot.

Disclosure Policy
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery requires all instructors, planners, reviewers, managers and other individuals in a position to control or influence the content of an activity to disclose all relevant financial relationships or affiliations. All identified conflict of interest must be mitigated and the educational content thoroughly vetted by The Aesthetic Society for fair balance, scientific objectivity, and appropriateness of patient care recommendations. The Aesthetic Society also requires faculty/authors to disclose when off-label/unapproved uses of product are discussed in a CME activity or included in related materials.


DISCLOSURES
The Aesthetic Society policy requires Faculty to provide at the beginning of their presentations, both orally and on their first slide, detailed disclosures of any health care related relationships and/or real or apparent conflicts of interest relating to the educational topic. Faculty are also required to disclose off-label/unapproved uses of drugs or devices mentioned during their presentations or during the question and answer periods. All disclosures will be available on The Aesthetic Society Meeting App. Attendees providing comments or asking questions during presentations are also required to disclose all commercial interests.

HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS – IN-PERSON MEETING REQUIREMENTS

The Aesthetic Society will be following the state and local mandates with regard to our COVID-19 policy.

Effective April 1, 2022, the State of California lifted the requirement for vaccine verification or proof of a negative PCR test for large indoor events.  Given the attendee data collected to date, The Aesthetic Society will comply with the current guidance and no longer require proof of vaccination status or a negative PCR test to attend the meeting.

Masks are strongly recommended for those who are not vaccinated except while actively eating or drinking.  Masks are recommended for vaccinated attendees as desired.

Should you need a PCR test to return home or to the office, we urge you to make your appointments early and to confirm the turnaround time of the testing results.

MEETINGS CODE OF CONDUCT
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery aka The Aesthetic Society (hereinafter “The Society”) is committed to providing an educational environment that is welcoming and free from any form of harassment or other discrimination. This Code of Conduct (hereinafter “Code”) applies to all persons, including attendees and their guests, exhibitors, Society staff and venue staff (hereinafter “persons”), present at our meetings and/or Society-sponsored events (hereinafter “venues”).

Expected Conduct.  All persons at Society venues shall:

  1. Be considerate and respectful to each other;
  2. Alert Society staff if they hear of or observe any conduct that violates this Code; and
  3. Comply with this Code, all meeting venue rules, policies and procedures, and all laws and regulations of the state where the venue is located.

Unacceptable Conduct.  The Society expressly prohibits harassment and discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, pregnancy, genetic information, military and veteran status, marital status, personal appearance, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability or perceived disability, family responsibilities, political affiliation, or any other legally protected characteristic.  Examples of harassment and discrimination include, but are not limited to:

  1. Sexist, racist, homophobic or other discriminatory jokes, slurs, insults or comments;
  2. Unwelcome sexual advances, whether verbal or physical;
  3. Display of sexualized images;
  4. Stalking, whether in person or online;
  5. Threatening or intimidating language or physical conduct; and
  6. Inappropriate photography or recording.

Reporting Procedure.  All persons shall immediately report to Society staff any believed or witnessed violations of this Code.  All reported concerns will be treated seriously and investigated promptly.  The Society will not tolerate any actual or attempted reprisals or retaliation against any person who, in good faith, reports a believed or witnessed violation of this Code, or who participates in The Society’s investigation.

Consequences.  Any person asked to stop any Code-violating behavior shall comply immediately. Additionally, at The Society’s sole discretion, any violation of this Code may result in removal from or denial of access to the venue without a refund of any applicable registration fees, and/or disqualification from attendance at future Events.

PRE-REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds will not be considered unless a written request is submitted by Thursday, April 14, 2022. Refunds will be subject to a minimum 15% administration fee. No Refunds after April 14, 2022. Requests can be emailed to admin@theaestheticsociety.org or faxed to 562.799.1098.

What if I decide to attend in person but I’ve already registered for virtual attendance or vice versa?
Registrants may change from in person to virtual attendance, or from virtual to in person, until Thursday, April 7, 2022. Simply email The Aesthetic Society at admin@theaestheticsociety.org to request the change.
