Desired outcomes

  • Preservation techniques including Let Down (Lothrop Huizing) and Push Down (Goodale / Cottle)
  • Perform an open rhinoplasty to set the ideal profile and sculpture the tip  
  • Perform a wide variety of rhinoplasty maneuvers in a logical sequence like a “real-life” rhinoplasty
  • Demonstrate various incisions, exposure methods, extramucosal tunnels, dorsal reduction, septal harvest, graft preparation, spreader grafts, spreader flaps (auto-spreader grafts), osteotomies, open tip sutures, all strut grafts, columella-septal rotation sutures, tongue in groove sutures, caudal septal extension grafts, tip projection, open tip grafts, alar contour grafts, and alar base excision
  • Popular grafting techniques will be demonstrated and applied using coffee cup lids or can covers or harvested cadaver septal cartilage
  • Review advanced techniques for experienced surgeons, including Ultra-projecting tip setback, ear graft acquisition, alar grafts, and the latest techniques of advanced lateral crural strut methods and lower lateral cartilage turnover flaps
  • Firsthand experience with piezoelectric tools for osteotomies & dorsal hump reduction
  • Preservation techniques including Let Down (Lothrop Huizing) and Push Down (Goodale / Cottle)
  • Included is a complete rhinoplasty cadaver dissection video showing all the steps of open / closed rhinoplasty plus a detailed syllabus

A general set of rhinoplasty instruments are provided. If you have your own favorite rhinoplasty instruments you might have a better experience if you bring your own favorites. Put them in your checked luggage.
