Course Description
This comprehensive course, designed for plastic surgeons and those who assist in their practice, will focus on minimally invasive products and technologies currently available for facial and body rejuvenation. The faculty will demonstrate and discuss the evolving role of dermal fillers in facial rejuvenation and will explore how injectables can be used to treat cellulite, skin laxity and to shape the buttocks. The role of energy-based devices in treating the face and body will also be explored and demonstrated with demos as well as case studies. The role of topical products in face and body rejuvenation and regeneration will also be touched upon.
Learning Objectives
- Describe energy-based treatments and/or injectables used to rejuvenate the face
- Identify injection techniques for the face that have demonstrated safe and satisfactory patient outcomes.
- Describe the use of ultrasound in aesthetics.
- Implement strategies to minimize and manage adverse events with facial injectables including bruising, infection/biofilms, lumps and most importantly , vascular occlusion.
- Discuss the role of injectables in treating cellulite and skin laxity in the thighs and buttocks
- Describe emerging techniques for shaping and volumizing the buttocks with injectables.
- Devise individualized management plans for aesthetic face and body rejuvenation using combination procedures with injectables and energy-based procedures.
